A huge night for Campile Utd as the club officially switched on their new floodlight system. The project, driven by the hard work of volunteers and the support of the local community and Sports Capital Grant Scheme, was met with a rapturous response as the ground came alive under lights for the very first time this week.
This development represents an open door for evening fixtures, greater flexibility for players and coaches, and a new experience for the clubs supporters.
Investments like this continue to strengthen grassroots football in the county and highlight what can be achieved when clubs and communities work hand in hand.
The honour of the first game under the lights went to the Campile Ladies, who celebrated the occasion with a 4–1 win over Ballymurn.
The Freshtoday Wexford Football League would like to say a huge well done to Campile Utd, their volunteers, and the local community for bringing another top-class facility to life, further enhancing the league’s growth and development.
